My name is Paul from Zambia, and I have dedicated myself to discipling young men. One young man in his late twenties stands out as a testimony of how discipleship can truly change a life. He was struggling with drunkenness, immorality, poor financial decisions, and overwhelming debt. Many people had begun to look down on him, but two years ago, I chose to build a relationship with him. What began as simple conversations grew into regular discipleship sessions. Through studying God’s Word together, his life began to change. Earlier this year, he decided to follow Jesus and leave behind his old ways.
As I continue discipling him and others, I am reminded of Jesus Christ, who ate with sinners and tax collectors (Matthew 9:10–12). His example encourages me to reach out to men regardless of their position in society. I know that God’s power can transform anyone when I make myself available to walk alongside them.
