As disciples of Jesus, we must obey God. If we disobey, there will be consequences.
In Mark 1:40-45, we read the story of Jesus healing the man with leprosy. The man asked to be healed. Jesus had compassion on him and said YES to his request. What follows is not good. We read, “Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44 “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” 45 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.”
WHAT! Jesus healed the man, the man disobeyed, and as a result, Jesus “could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely place.” Disobedience has consequences!
Network 20 disciple-makers teach young men that they must KNOW, LOVE, LISTEN, & OBEY God. The same goes for disciple-makers. We must know, love, listen, & obey God.
Do you obey God? What happens when you obey? What happens when you disobey?
