Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:35-38 NIV)
Where is the harvest? It is in the harvest field. But where is that field?
Most Christians spend one or two hours each week in a church building. For many, those hours are a big part of what it means to be a Christian. But there are 166 other hours in the week, and those are spent outside the building.
So, what is the church? Is it like a silo that stores the harvest? What happens in a silo?
Now think about the harvest field. What happens there?
We, Network 20, help men step out of the church building and into the harvest field. Around the world, more than 2,600 Network 20 men are helping about 11,500 young men grow in 67 countries. We are a movement built on strong relationships. We are workers in the harvest field.
Who we are is simple to understand, but the work is not easy. We give all praise to the Lord of the Harvest, who gives us everything we need to guide young men.
