Empowered to Lead and to Love

Recently, Aitbek was appointed as Central Asia Region Leader. Following are his words regarding disciple-making.When you feel a desire in your heart to invest in others, and you know that you have the strength to do it — spiritually, emotionally, and in life — ask God to show you whom He wants you to invest in. He will surely reveal the right person, because there are so many today who truly need a disciple-maker.

Discipleship begins with genuine love. You notice someone, and you want to support them, help them grow, and walk part of the journey alongside them. You share your experience, inspire, and teach — and at the same time, you grow yourself, learning from them as well. The most important thing is not to forget the spiritual side: to guide, to pray, and to care for their inner life.

Sometimes we don’t even realize how deeply we influence those around us. When we grow spiritually and work on ourselves, it naturally impacts others. As Scripture says, “what fills a person’s heart is what comes out.”

Being a disciple-maker is not just an honorable role — it is a responsibility. We cannot lead others if we ourselves are not moving forward. It’s a challenge, but a joyful and inspiring one, because discipleship is one of the greatest callings God has entrusted to each of us.
