I was born into a non-Christian family that believed in spirits. When I was a child, my father once told me, “Jesus healed the blind,” which planted a seed in my heart. In 2014, while at university, I learned more about Jesus and accepted Him in 2015. Six months later, I volunteered in a sports ministry and became a full-time staff member in 2016, serving until April 2025. I worked with university, college, and school students—using sports to share the gospel, teach Bible lessons, and connect them to fellowship and church life.
I’ve noticed two main ways young men get involved in church. Some join because of their family’s faith, but their own faith in Christ is often not very strong. Others get involved through a mentor or Christian organization, and these men are usually strong in faith and able to share the gospel. Since Christians are a small percentage here, discipling and training young men is essential for the future of the church.
