The Network 20 movement has reached another milestone. WE HAVE MORE THAN 1,000 disciple-makers! These disciple-makers live in 45 countries and are discipling around 4,500 young men between the ages of 18 and 29.
Why is this movement growing? Because GOD WANTS TO EXPAND HIS KINGDOM through the discipling of young men! Why disciple young men?
1. Young men in their 20s are INVALUABLE to God and His Kingdom. God uses the many gifts, talents, and abilities of young men to greatly advance His Kingdom as they more fully engage to be, and live, as He desires.
2. Young men (and the rest of us) long for IDENTITY, PURPOSE, and BELONING. They desire to live a thriving life, discover who they are as sons of God, and realize God’s purposes. They need to belong to a body of like-minded followers of Jesus to discover all that He has for them.
3. During their 20s, men make DECISIONS that shape the rest of their lives. They need someone to guide, disciple, and encourage them. Also, they need to guide, disciple, and encourage.
The disciple-makers who are part of this movement understand the IMPORTANCE of discipling young men for God’s glory, the advancement of His Kingdom, and expansion to the church. Jesus wants the number of disciples to grow!
If we claim Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are His disciple. Jesus said that His disciples must make disciples. (Matthew 28:18-20) A fully committed disciple makes disciples—the fruit Jesus desires him to produce. Together let’s be fruitful! Let’s work to disciple young men in EVERY COUNTRY in the world. Together, let’s grow the number of disciple-makers to 2,000; 3,000; 5,000; and beyond!
