Before I head out on mission, always I put a new Bible in my bag. The Bible is the same as the Bible I have used for years, but it is new.
Why do I pack an extra Bible? I pack it so I can give it away!
Throughout the mission I am using the new Bible was I do workshops and talks, but I don’t mark it. I want to be sure it maintains its newness.
My hope is that while on mission I am prompted by Holy Spirit to give away the new Bible. Sometimes I return home with the Bible. On the recent mission to Thailand, I was prompted to give it away. Glory to God!
The young man in the image is Woon. Woon is a 22-year-old English major at a Chiang Mai university. After I presented a talk to the young adult group in his church, he approached me. He told me his story. I asked whether he had an English Bible. He said he did not.
Well, now he does!
Not only did Woon receive an English Bible, also he became part of the Network 20 movement. This young man has committed to discipling two young men. Glory to God!
I encourage you to consider taking a new Bible with you wherever you go. I am confident that as you have God’s Word available to give away, He will prompt you to do it.
Let’s give God’s Word!
