We equip young men to be fully committed disciples of Jesus! This month’s equipping series, titled “Fullness of Christ,” is written by Amirkhon Kazikhozhaev. In the first of four lessons, Amir focuses on the topic of “Equip.” He gives the below insight.
I was in church when I first heard about spiritual gifts. My pastor asked, “do you know about the gifts of Father, Son and Holy Spirit?” I knew about gifts of Holy Spirit as listed 1 Corinthians 14 but did not know about “the gifts of the Father and Son.” That day I learned that the gift of the Father is His Son. And I understood that the gifts of the Son are the five ministry gifts, which I am writing about.
I am blessed to know the truth that Jesus operated in these gifts while on earth. 1. He was an Apostle (Hebrews 3:1, John 20:21). 2. He was a Prophet (Luke 4:24, Acts 7:37) 3. He was an Evangelist (Luke 4:18). 4. He was a Pastor and Good Shepherd (John 10:11) 5. Often, He was called a Teacher (Matthew 26:18).
I understand that due to the example of Jesus, Father, and Holy Spirit, I can be equipped and obtain the fullness of Christ.
