Spiritual brokenness can lead us to further surrender to God’s will.
In the equipping series titled, “Brokenness,” author Ejaz Azad writes, “The story of Joseph in the Bible shows a journey of a person being broken by circumstances outside of his control. He was betrayed by his brothers. He was sold into slavery. He was lied to and falsely accused, which landed him in prison. He was forgotten. Through it all, Joseph chose to draw close to God. His closeness to God enabled him to weather the storm and rise to a level of being used by God, which was far beyond his imagination. When we endure spiritual brokenness, we can thrive in our spiritual journey. Spiritual brokenness can align us with Christ and make us more like Him.”
As we make disciples, let us encourage spiritual transformation in both good and hard times. Always, God is with us. He will NEVER forsake us, but wants us to thrive in relationship with Him. He’s eager for us to collaborate with Him in His kingdom-advancing work.
