Be ★ Make ★ Multiply
Fully Committed Disciples
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in the Triune God, one God in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal, co-eternal and co-essential. We believe that God the Father is the cause and origin of all things and is the holy, righteous and loving Sovereign of all. God the Son is the Word, wisdom and image of the Father and that He was sent from the Father to be born of flesh, live a perfect life on earth, die for the sins of humankind, rise from the dead, and ascend into heaven where He will come again to make all things new. God the Holy Spirit is the eternal power and presence of the Father and the Son and that He indwells, and is active in, every person who places their faith in God’s Son.
We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. We believe that though we are sinful by nature, we are fully forgiven through Christ’s sacrifice and that we are called to be His obedient and grateful children. This is a call to love God above all else and love others as we love ourselves. As God’s diverse children, we are an equally loved and valued community, equally called and empowered to extend God’s life-giving mission in the world by making disciples of all nations.
We believe that the goal of discipleship is seeing Christ’s character reproduced in others, and as such is the primary task of everyone professing to be a follower of Christ. This involves a progressive journey of growth in intimacy with God that will inevitably manifest itself in being like Christ. We believe that one day, when Christ returns, God’s eternal Kingdom will be established, and we will be fully transformed into His image.
CORE VALUES
Loving God
We are created to glorify God by enjoying Him forever. The highest priority in life is loving God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Primacy of the Word of God
The Bible is the authoritative Word of God—the primary standard for truth and conduct—so it is to be internalized, lived, and shared.
Reproduction
We are called to make disciples—see Christ’s character reproduced in others—so we model obedience and teach with words and actions.
Integrated Formation
We are God’s image-bearer, and we are best transformed and flourish when we address the whole person—body, soul, and spirit.
Global Inclusiveness
God is relational and universal. We pursue life-giving relationships that are local and those that connect us in global community.
